Clayton started shaping in 1994 as an apprentice at Safari Surfboards in South Africa. It was at this time that he learned all the details of shaping, under the tutelage of Baron Stander . Clayton is a surfer himself, an excellent surfer . He surfed competitively for several years, and his personal experiences combined with testing his own boards made him one of South Africa's most innovative shapers .
The manufacturing workshop and the South African showroom are located in Milne Street, Durban . The boards are also shaped in Europe and Australia. Team riders: Ricky Basnett, Beyrick De Vries and Brandon Jackson , some of the best South African surfers.
