To know which board to choose, here is some valuable information and a few questions that will help you in your choice. What type of skateboarding do you want to do?

- Street for doing tricks, grinds, skating in skateparks, jumping steps and skating mainly in the street. On a street board the deck is not very wide (generally 7.5 inch to 8.75 inch) nor very long (31 to 33 inch) to be able to do tricks and have a maneuverable board, not too heavy and responsive, the wheels are not not very big and rather hard for precision and solidity (hardness 90A and above) when "replating" figures or if you slide or grind, they are suitable for smooth terrain because they are not an imposing diameter (often 50mm to 56mm). Trucks must be strong and precise.

- Cruiser to move from one place to another easily: Go to the beach, go shopping, ride quickly, smoothly with wheels that make no noise and seem to "cruise" fluidly on the asphalt without be hampered by the unevenness of the ground. Cruiser decks are wider to be stable, the length varies depending on the size of the skater and individual preferences. The wheels are generous and the urethane is flexible to go fast even on terrain that is not perfectly smooth. The wheels make little noise thanks to soft urethane (hardness 90A and less), the trucks are wide and stable. Wheels are medium sized (e.g. 58mm to 70mm diameter)

- Longskate or "longboard skate" for descents and sensations or for fast and long trips. The decks are long and stable at high speed, a little flexible, the trucks are very wide and stable, the wheels are thick and flexible (large diameter, 60mm to 70mm and even more with urethane hardness 70A to 80A) for maximum grip .

- Surf Skates for "surfing" sensations with a front truck specially designed to be able to make turns like in surfing. These boards are often a little wide, not too long and are easy to handle, equipped with slightly thick wheels (diameter 60 to 70mm) with a soft urethane for smooth gliding (hardness 90A and less). These are often "cruiser" boards but equipped with a surf truck at the front so that they can pivot easily.
