Hobie™ Gato Son , this Pig -style longboard whose design initiated by longboarder Ian Gottron and shaper Terry Martin offers a slightly rounded outline on the rear third, a fairly low wide point then rather taut and straight rails , suitable for point breaks and/or small hollow waves. A refined design for years for point breaks and small waves from Dana Point to San Clemente, a subtle outline and little rocker, no spoon or concave at the nose, a slight belly all over the bottom , speed and pure sliding pleasure. A board that paddles quickly and well, glides easily and passes sections even more easily. The 50/50 pinched rails require a little more dexterity than a classic pig or a longboard with more rounded rails because this Gato Son will need to be maneuvered with precision and skill to get the most out of it. A magical board to tame and enjoy, a Made in USA model, shaped and glassed in California .
